About Our Company
Adak Eagle Enterprises, LLC (AEE) started out as the Adak Telephone Utility (ATU) in November 2004. It is a minority and veteran owned company conducting business on the Island of Adak. The island is part of the Aleutian chain and serves as a single exchange for the residents. The company is headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, which is approximately 1,200 miles east of Adak Island. The island was used by the US Military from the 1940s until it was shut down as part of the base reassignment and closures in 1996.
When the Navy controlled Adak Island, it also controlled all telecommunications. In fact, the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) and Alaska Public Utilities Commission never certified the area, and no other local exchange carrier provides or ever provided service to Adak. Two carriers, GCI, and AT&T Alascom, presently provide inter- and intra-state telecommunication services on Adak, via satellite off the island. Although the facilities were originally built to serve Navy requirements, both companies provide long distance service to the Island of Adak and are committed to continue doing so.
Adak Eagle Enterprises, LLC provides all the telecommunication services on Adak, including Broadband, and Cellular. In November 2006, AEE replaced all copper facilities with Fiber Optic to the premises and central office. In October 2008, AEE launched cellular service for Adak and the surrounding area. AEE strives to provide the most reliable and well-rounded telecommunications services for Adak.
Adak Eagle Enterprises, LLC is proud to provide leading edge wireless and ISP services to both the City of Adak – the most western city in the United States – and Adak Island itself.

Consumer Information – National Do Not Call Registry The Federal Trade Commission’s Telemarketing Sales rule puts consumers in charge of the number of telemarketing calls they receive at home. The amended rule created the National Do Not Call Registry, which makes it easier and more efficient for consumers to stop getting telemarketing calls they don’t want. Registration is FREE! You may register online at DoNotCall.Gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 or TTY 1-866-290-4236. Your number will stay in the registry until it is disconnected, or until you delete it from the registry. Your registration will not expire. The law requires telemarketers to search the registry every thirty-one days and synchronize their call lists with the phone numbers in the registry. If you receive unwanted telemarketing calls after you have registered your telephone number, you may file a complaint at DoNotCall.Gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 or TTY 1-866-290-4236. You will have to know the name of the company that called to file a complaint. The company could be fined up to $11,000 for each call. |
